Insurance Coverage

We are now accepting BCBS, Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim, and Humana insurances. To explore if your plan covers acupuncture and if this office accepts your insurance please click the link below and fill out the information required. We will go through your information and contact your insurance company on your behalf to verify your benefits. Acupuncture is also HSA and FSA eligible and is a viable option for copays and out-of-pocket patients (when acupuncture not covered).

For Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plan patients: This office is identified as an ‘independent acupuncturist’ and not under supervision of a physician, PA, or NP/CNS. Therefore, we are not recognized as qualifying practitioners to provide care. This stands for Medicare Advantage Plans, despite being managed by private insurance, because they are still required to follow the minimum standards of care set forth by Medicare.

The supervision information from Medicare guidelines:

“Benefit is not covered when solely provided by an independent acupuncturist. Auxiliary personnel furnishing acupuncture must be under the appropriate level of supervision of a physician, PA, or NP/CNS required by our regulations at 42 CFR ยงยง 410.26 and 410.27.”
